Eggs, Neighbors, and Community Spirit: Inside CPRV’s Great Egg Hunt 2026

What a great morning in CPRV.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for this year’s Great CPRV Egg Hunt. Despite the cold, we had a fantastic turnout with lots of neighborhood families, smiling kids, a few very excited pups, and plenty of spring energy in the air. Seeing neighbors gather like this, laugh together, and enjoy a simple morning of fun is exactly what community is all about.

Events like this may seem small on paper, but they matter in a big way. They give us a chance to reconnect, meet new faces, strengthen old friendships, and create the kind of neighborhood culture that makes Colonial Place and Riverview such a special place to live. This is the kind of stuff that builds the fabric of a real community, one event, one conversation, and one shared morning at a time.

A very heartfelt thank you goes out to the volunteers who helped make this event happen. From planning and setup to stuffing eggs, coordinating details, and making sure the morning ran smoothly, these neighborhood events do not happen by accident. They happen because good people give their time and energy to create something meaningful for everyone else. We are incredibly lucky to have a Civic League Board and Social Events Committee that continues to show up and make things happen.

We also want to give a big shoutout to our amazing sponsors, whose generosity helped make the morning even more special:

  • MJ’s Tavern for the coffee (and John being our Bunny)
  • Patience MacCartney, Realtor for the donuts and eggs
  • Pittie Dog Grill for the special prize gift cards
  • PawSnickety Pet Salon for the pet treats and goodies

Thank you for supporting neighborhood events and helping us create experiences that bring people together.

And of course, thank you to all the families, neighbors, and little egg hunters who came out to enjoy it. The energy, turnout, and support are what make these events worth doing and worth growing year after year.

We are proud of this neighborhood, and mornings like this are a reminder of why.

See you at the next one.
