October 2023

This past weekend, on Sunday, October 1st, 2023, our neighborhoods of Colonial Place and Riverview came alive with creativity and camaraderie during the CPRV Art Walk. With perfect weather as our backdrop, the streets were filled with art enthusiasts and talented artists showcasing their work, turning host porches into captivating galleries.

We’re thrilled to celebrate and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us in supporting this event. Your presence added to the magic of the day, making it a memorable experience for all.

A special shoutout goes to our dedicated event organizers, Shirley Cooper and Stephanie Hale, whose hard work and passion brought this Art Walk to life. We also want to express our gratitude to the event’s founder, Sheila Hughes Robinson, whose vision continues to inspire our community.

Additionally, none of this would have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. A big thank you to MJ’s Tavern, Starving Artist Cafe, Keep Norfolk Beautiful, Ernie Morgan Center Pitte Dog Grill, and Blanca Food & Wine. Your contributions were instrumental in making this event a resounding success.

As we reflect on the fantastic turnout and the artistic flair that filled our streets, we can’t help but look forward to the next CPRV Art Walk with eager anticipation. Until then, let’s keep the creative spirit alive in our neighborhoods and continue to support the flourishing arts scene in our community.
