Community Services Board Speaks About Homelessness

NSAG Meeting Summary (7/13/23)

The Norfolk Safety Advocacy Group (NSAG) held our last meeting on July 13, 2023, at the Park Place Multi-Services Center. The Norfolk Community Services Board presented on the topic of homelessness in Norfolk and also took questions and comments from those in attendance.

Thank you to everyone who attended. There were approximately 23 people in attendance. Thank you also to those who RSVPed and let me know you were not able to attend.

Attached please find a summary of the event as well as two handouts that we received from the Norfolk Community Services Board.

August Meeting

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 6:30 PM. It will be held at the Park Place Multi-Services Center (606 29th Street, Norfolk, VA 23510). I do not have a speaker yet, although I am working on obtaining a speaker. If we do not have a speaker, then I (Jennifer) will be leading the meeting; it will be a forum. Participants will share public safety concerns and collectively brainstorm solutions and ideas.

I created this event listing on EventBrite:

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/nsag-august-meeting-tickets-686303390917?aff=oddtdtcreator

It allowed me to create a free account as long as I limited the number of tickets to 25. If you are not able to obtain a ticket (as all 25 tickets are taken), then please just email me and let me know you would like to attend.
