October cleanup recap

Neighbors showing up for the place we call home.

Keeping our neighborhood clean and beautiful is something we can all contribute to, and our October neighborhood cleanup was a wonderful reminder of just how much a small group of dedicated volunteers can accomplish.

Organized by CPRV’s Environmental and Community Improvement Committees, the cleanup brought neighbors together around Granby and Llewellyn, where 13 volunteers collected 13 full bags of litter.

The effort was facilitated by Katie Hunt in partnership with Keep Norfolk Beautiful, helping us turn community pride into meaningful action right here in our neighborhood.

Every bag collected makes a difference. Thank you to our October volunteers.

Every bag makes a difference

While litter can sometimes feel like an overwhelming problem, every bag collected makes a difference. Cleaner streets and sidewalks create a more welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and local wildlife alike. More importantly, these efforts demonstrate that we all have a role to play in caring for the place we call home.

Volunteers are the heart of this work. Every person who gives their time, whether for an hour or an entire afternoon, helps move our community toward a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful future. When neighbors come together, even modest individual contributions add up to a significant collective impact.

You don’t have to do everything to make a difference. You just have to do something.

Thank you for caring for CPRV

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who participated in October’s cleanup, to Katie Hunt and Keep Norfolk Beautiful for their support, and to our Environmental and Community Improvement Committees for helping make these opportunities possible.

We encourage all neighbors to get involved in future cleanups and community improvement projects. Together, we can keep making CPRV a place we’re proud to call home.

We love being your neighbor.
