Are you interested in enhancing your gardening skills and contributing to the beauty of our community? Then mark your calendars for the upcoming Crape Myrtle Prune & Learn event on Saturday, 5/13, from 9 am to 12 pm, organized by the Colonial Place and Riverview Civic League in collaboration with the Norfolk Master Gardeners.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in pruning crape myrtles, one of the most popular and iconic trees in our area. The Norfolk Master Gardeners, a group of trained volunteers who provide horticultural education and outreach to the community, will lead participants on a supervised tour of the neighborhood, sharing tips and tricks on how to properly prune crape myrtles to enhance their beauty and health.

But that’s not all – this event is also a great chance to learn about the benefits of community gardening and how you can contribute to the beautification of our community. By participating in this event, you’ll not only gain valuable knowledge and skills but also help to create a more vibrant and attractive neighborhood.

To participate in this event, RSVP by emailing community@cprv.net. The event is open to all residents 18 years of age and older interested in learning more about community gardening and contributing to our neighborhood.

So what are you waiting for? Join us on Saturday, 5/13, from 9 am to 12 pm for the Crape Myrtle Prune & Learn event and discover the joys of community gardening while enhancing the beauty of our neighborhood. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Norfolk Master Gardeners will provide tools and safety equipment. Please wear closed-toe shoes for safety and bring water to stay hydrated.
