The 2nd Annual CPRV School Supply Drive

Thank you to our CPRV neighbors for supporting our Back-to-School Supply Drive for James Monroe Elementary School. The drive was a joint effort of the CPRV Social and Community Improvement Committees.

Thanks to our neighbors’ contributions, we collected so many supplies this year, including pencils, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, tissues, hand sanitizer, binders, and much more.

When we dropped off the supplies, we had the chance to meet with school staff, who were very appreciative of the neighborhood’s support. The donations will help fill in where needed for students at the beginning of the school year and as needs come up throughout the year.

THANK YOU to everyone who donated and supported the drive; to Laura Burns, Camille Charbonnet, and Patience MacCartney for serving as collection porches; and to the CPRV Board for its support. Special thanks to Lisa Perlmutter, Gene Ward, Mary Batterson Stewart, Chrissy Herbert, and everyone who helped consolidate and deliver the supplies. It truly was a neighborhood effort!

It’s a great example of our neighbors coming together to support our local community.
