Are you interested in enhancing your gardening skills and contributing to the beauty of our community? Then mark your calendars for the upcoming Crepe Myrtle Prune & Learn event on Saturday, July 1st, from 9 am to 12 pm, organized by the Norfolk Master Gardeners and Norfolk City Forester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in pruning crepe myrtles, one of our area’s most popular and iconic trees. The Norfolk Master Gardeners, a group of trained volunteers who provide horticultural education and outreach to the community, will lead participants on a supervised tour of the neighborhood, sharing tips and tricks on what we are allowed to prune crepe myrtles and how to enhance their beauty and health properly.
But that’s not all – this event is also a great chance to learn about the benefits of community gardening and how you can contribute to the beautification of our community. By participating in this event, you’ll gain valuable knowledge and skills and help create a more vibrant and attractive neighborhood.
To participate in this event, RSVP by emailing community@cprv.net. The event is open to all residents 18 years and older interested in learning more about community gardening and contributing to our neighborhood at the same time.
So what are you waiting for? Join us on Saturday, July 1st, from 9 am to 12 pm for the Crepe Myrtle Prune & Learn event and discover the joys of community gardening while enhancing the beauty of our neighborhood. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Norfolk Master Gardeners will provide tools and safety equipment. Please wear closed-toe shoes for safety and bring water to stay hydrated.
