CPRV Civic League members are invited to a Member Appreciation Happy Hour at Elation Brewing on July 22, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM.
4411 Colonial Avenue was built in 1913, by Elijah Jefferson Robertson, who resided there, with his wife, Ella Mae and their son, Robert.
Mr Robertson was a salesman for a wholesale paper company and was also Mayor of Norfolk in 1932.
His grandson, Robert Robertson, Jr., M.D, was instrumental in the establishment and building of Virginia Beach General Hospital on First Colonial Road.
Mr Robertson was known by the nick name of Jeff and is the namesake of “Jeff Robertson Park” at one end of the Elizabeth River Trail in West Ghent.

The May CPRV Civic League meeting featured updates from Norfolk Police, the Elizabeth River Trail, Elizabeth River Project, Norfolk’s LED streetlighting outreach, and upcoming officer elections.

A special thank you to Friends of Lambert’s Point City Park board members Brian and Inger Friedman, who led attendees through an informative tour of the park, sharing insight into its history, current conditions, and long-term potential as a unique waterfront green space.

The newly renovated 4125 Granby Street McDonald’s celebrated its grand re-opening on May 6, bringing fresh energy, employee investment, and renewed curb appeal to Riverview Village.
